"Street" or "Candid" photography

I know some of us have tried this kind of photography. I was
wondering what others thought of it. What experiences you have
had? Any adverse reactions from people you are photographing?

taking pics.....

I feel dirty and impregnated whenever someone snaps a candid
photo of me on the street.
