       New Camera!
By: benwillcox Date: April 6, 2011, 9:36 am

I want a new camera, i have a perfectly good DLSR (Ssshhh canon
people). But i want a nice compact point and shoot to keep
       with me all the time.
I just have a couple of requirements :
       1. Shoot in RAW format.
       2. Wide angle lens at least 28mm
       3. compact fit in the pocket, so no bridge cameras!
       4. good in low light.
       5. cost effective.
I dont care about brand that much.
       So any help will do!
       Thanks
       Ben

I'd seriously have a look at Canon PowerShot S95 (or even the
older S90).. wide angle, shoots raw, HD video and has an f2
lens.. the G series are even better but too bulky for you i
       think, but worth a look
       S95 review here.. including conclusions:

Fuji are known for excellent performance in low light, but not
aware of one that shoots raw..
However my experience only really covers Fuji and Canon, so
there well may be some equally if not better spec
       Nikon/Sony/Panasonic equivalents out there..
       Hope that helps..
       Mike

Just use your phone? It saves on pocket space, which I find is
       always at a premium.

You did not see my selection of requirments :
       1. Shoot in RAW format.
       2. Wide angle lens at least 28mm
       3. compact fit in the pocket, so no bridge cameras!
       4. good in low light.
       5. cost effective.
ok so a camera phone is cost effective as i already have a phone
and it does fit in my pocket. but what aobut the rest more
       important qualities?
