Photoshop or not to Photoshop?

As some people might have noticed I have sometimes photoshoped
my pictures. Now i think photoshop is part of modern day
photography, with film you had dark rooms and ablity to overlay,
burn etc and i belive photoshop is just a extenstion of that.
but i do admire photos that are just out of the camera as well ,
maybe a future theme!
what are your thoughts about photoshop?

It certainly has its place in todays world. Personally I do not
use it much, but that is because I don't know enough about it
yet

I also like PhotoShop & other software. I agree it it the modern
equivalent of filters or dodging in the darkroom. There are some
photos that would be impossible without PhotoShop.

I think that is a common problem that not many people know how
to use it.

Or maybe they're afraid to learn how to use it for fear of
creating a photograph which just looks out of place and unreal.
Either that or they're afraid of cocking up a Photoshopped set
of photographs, which happens sometimes if you don't know what
you're doing and are a bit careless. You don't have to be an
expert at Photoshop (I'm so damn tired of using this word now,
can we call it something else please?) to notice those little
flaws! DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME OR DON'T DO IT AT ALL!

Mike you are lying.
Richard, You are saying unless he photo is 100% then you cant
use photoshop, and you can only get them to 100% through pratice
and trail and error. So i think you are wrong with that, use
photoshop make mistakes get critisim from people you will learn
and will make the photos better in the future. I already thing
just buy doing this compitertion i have learnt new things in
photoshop that i hope will help me in the future.
