       Images can be saved in many different formats, depending on what
       file type is needed for the purpose of the image. The most
       common way to increase sustainability in the ICT industry is to
       optimize the performance of the website. When the website runs
       more efficiently, less processing power is used, therefore the
       CPU needs to draw less power, reducing the power needed to run
       the website. File storage servers are required to run 24-hours
       to ensure ready access, so another way to save electricity is to
       move to a hosting provider that uses 100% renewable energy to
       run their hosting service.
       Saving images in an appropriate format is also restricted on
       what programs and/or applications that need to use that file,
       and that file has to be compatible with numerous programs.
