Quiet Night - 11/10/2018

Depending on where you look, tonight is supposed to get down
into at least the low 40s (F, about 5C), maybe lower.
Because I have the grands next weekend for a long weekend, they
haven't been here the past couple of weekends, so it's just the
extended family (my sons, Bruce, Chandler, Emmet, Billy, Jake,
and Ryan Tucker), with only a couple of 'friends' (Wyatt and
Garrett), Plus Clayton and Huck. We usually don't have really
cool weather this early, but we have a bit of stuff ready, so we
have a fire ready to light, pizza on the way, and we're going to
make it a family game night.
It's really too early to think Christmas (except for
pre-planning), so this is just going to be a kind of warm and
fuzzy family evening.
Hope it's a good one for all of you as well.

Have a wonderful night Jack.
We had our first snow last night. I woke up to it this morning.
It was only a dusting, but it was snow. More snow coming
Monday.
Temps are down into teens F at night and in low 30's F during
the day.
So winter came early this year. I did get everything winterized
early, having that feeling that it would be an early winter.
Now. Hot Cocoa is my go to drink in the winter. BUT! I can't
have Cocoa or milk anymore. So I ordered Carob and it came in.
I stopped at the store today and bought Coconut milk. I've
never tried it before so this is going to be interesting. I am
going to attempt to make me hot cocoa with Carob and Coconut
milk. I've seen a couple recipes. Hopefully one of them will
be good to drink.
If anyone has a good recipe for non-dairy and non-cocoa, Hot
Chocolate, let me know.

I don't drink a lot of milk anymore, but I'd hate to give it up
in my cereal or cocoa. Good look finding a substitute.
It was a good evening. While a few of the boys hate being made
to 'settle down', they always end up enjoying the rare times we
can share a quiet evening like we did last night.

Glad you had a nice evening. Quiet evenings are nice when you
can et them.
As for the Cocoa substitute. It was Horrible. Absolutely
horrific. I'd rather live without chocolate as to drink that
swill. So it is going to be a life without Hot Cocoa for me.
That in itself is horrible.
