Re: (End of) Summer 2018 Schedule

The house has been quiet this weekend.
All the college boys (except Jeremy) are gone.
Like I said elsewhere, we actually took Ethan down for his
orientation more than a couple of weeks ago. He was the first
boy to go.
It seems like the vast number of boys left last Friday, with the
UT boys taking off that day, Mickey flying out, and Jake Hogan
leaving.
It's nice in a way. I love having the kids here (and they'll
always be my kids), but they're young adults now, making their
own lives. While I love all of them, and I'm close friends with
some of them, it'll be nice to have a bit more room, and I'll
have more attention to pay the younger boys. Also, it'll be
nice for those boys who do have a 'close relationship' with one
of their friends, but who don't have their own bedroom, to have
a private place to go.
The college kids did do a great job in making sure the spare
rooms were clean before they took off.
I know Noah and Blake will be coming home the first weekend in
October for football. After that, I don't expect to see any of
them until Thanksgiving, unless they need a mental health
weekend.
I like the space and the (relative) quiet, but I'll miss my
helpers, and I'll miss having them around.

Aww, hugs Jack. I guess the house feels empty.
On one hand it is good that they are gone back to school and
that you can get into the routine, but they are a great help for
you and it is nice to talk and be with the older kids.
They will be back soon!

Aw hugs
I know some of that feeling with the young adult kids and I too
have what I call a love hate relationship with it... love them
home and being able to spend time but then when it’s time for
them to go I’m so ready for the house to get back to normal but
will miss them dearly.....lol
Hugs kal
