Baking

I woke up early this morning and couldn't go back to sleep, so I
got up and went to the kitchen. Ryan and Noah were back from
their morning run, and they were drying off after a quick dip in
the pool. We talked for a while as they stood there with towels
wrapped around their waists, until we decided to make fresh
biscuits for breakfast.
The kitchen smells so good now, and the boys are lined up to
eat.

Did you make a big skillet of gravy to go over those biscuits?
I'm okay with any kind of gravy. Straight country gravy is my
favorite, no meat at all. Hamburger gravy comes in second, with
chip beef gravy third and sausage gravy last. But if it's gravy
I'll eat it on just about everything.

No, we decided it was just too hot for gravy. Instead, we had
it with fresh fruit, cold cereal, butter and a variety of jams,
jellies, preserves, or honey.
I did make some sausage patties for those who just couldn't live
without some meat.

Okay. I'll pass. No gravy no need for biscuits. ;D ;D ;D

I assume there were no leftovers.

Oh, no! Those are almost mythical around here even when not
talking about something as scrumdeliscious as fresh biscuits.
It was fun eating all the warm, buttery, sweet things though.

Dave, you see how Jack is don't you.
He shares his boys. But His biscuits. Nope. No sharing
biscuits. He eats them all and leaves none for the rest of us.
