Chris informed me that there was a mass spanking last night.
This week, the younger boys are all attending the Y Day Camp.
For the most part, they're having organized play/sports in the
morning, then crafts and games in the afternoon. They could be
getting some swimming time as well, but since they usually have
access to my pool, we didn't feel that was too important.
To make things easier, the kids are moving around each night,
with the older boys (Andy, Connor, and Rhett, who turns 9 today
- Happy Birthday, Grandson) staying with one family, and the
younger boys (Ollie, Curtis, Ryder, and Paden) at another, and
those families moving around, so each set of parents gets a
couple of nights off (all the kids will be here tonight).
Last night, Chris and Terry had the younger boys. Because they
do have several boys to deal with, and because they do have to
have them up and fed and at the Camp by a certain time, and
because most of the parents are still having to work, the boys
do still have a bedtime, though it's later and more fluid than
normal.
The little guys were apparently in a mood last night, and they'd
already been put to bed a couple of times before Terry gave them
a final warning. Not long after that, they were up again and
playing some type of keep away game with a stuffed animal. Not
long after that, Chris had them all four bent over the side of a
bed, and he was baring their bottoms.
He just took a moment to chew them out about following the rules
and minding, and then he spanked down the line several times,
giving two or three smacks each time. He says he thinks he made
four trips, so each boy probably got about 10 or 12 firm swats
on bottom and upper legs, and all four of them were crying
pretty hard before he finished.
When he finished spanking, he rubbed backs for a few minutes,
then helped each of them sit up. He lectured a bit more, mostly
reminding them why it's important to follow the rules and mind,
then each boy got his undies pulled up and a hug, before Chris
escorted the group of them to the bathroom to wash their faces
and get a drink. He tucked them in one last time, and informed
them that anyone else getting up was going to get the
Tailblazer.
Apparently the spanking literally wore them out, because he and
Terry didn't hear a peep the rest of the night.

Cute. I would imagine they were just wound up from it being
summer and doing things all day at Y camp. Once they were worn
out, their energy was extinguished so they went to sleep. Since
the boys are bouncing around from family to family, I wonder how
many more times they will be spanked. Boys also like to take
advantage of being with different adults, to see how much they
can get away with.
I enjoyed reading the post. I think it was cute. The boys
would probably disagree.

A lot of fun-loving little boys having a sleepover... Difficult
for them not to get in trouble from time to time.

That's probably true to an extent, but you have to remember that
these boys spend the night together (here) about every two weeks
for one or two nights. I do feel a little sorry for them, but
it sounds like they had plenty of warnings and like it wasn't
that hard of a spanking. Zyngaru is probably right that they
were testing the different adults, but the problem with pushing
the limit comes when you don't notice you've already crossed it.

Once that out-of-control mood develops I suspect it is
practically impossible to calm them down for sleeping with words
alone. A spanking may be the only way to change the mood.

I need to do this before I forget again.
It was Thursday morning - I think I was coming back from my
meeting with Mr. Sanders and Bobby Witte.
On my way back, I passed three young boys coming back from the
convenience store, headed towards my house. It was Aidan
Guthrey (13), Kline (11), and Brandon Malone (11).
The thing is, Aidan was grounded this past week. Nothing major,
but he'd been having problems taking off, then getting home on
time, so he was confined to the house and park, with other small
exceptions. Since I wasn't home, none of the exceptions
applied. I already knew he was toast when I pulled in.
They 'just wanted to go get an icee before it got too hot'.
That's believable, but the way the three of them were acting, I
think they just wanted to get away with something. It only took
a few seconds to confirm that the other two boys didn't have
permission to leave and hadn't checked out.
Let me remind you that Aidan is very small and immature for his
age, so he is pretty much physical and emotional peers with the
younger two boys. I bared all three of them, and let Brandon go
first. He and Kline both got a firm enough hand spanking to
have some tears flowing. Then Aidan, both older and having
violated the same rule and his grounding - got a session with
the Tailblazer that had him bawling.
After a quick hug, I sent Aidan to the corner, then pulled
Brandon and Kline into my lap, and we talked about why that
rules there, and the importance of following it, as well as why
they should be trying to keep their friends out of trouble - not
joining them in it. Another hug, and the two of them dressed
and went to wash up. As soon as the door was closed, I let
Aidan out of the corner and into my lap. We hugged and talked
for a while, mostly about why he'd been spanked so hard. He
pretty much did confirm that he was just bored and didn't think
it was a big deal. He did understand why he'd been spanked, so
I let him up and helped him dress, before he washed up and
rejoined the other boys.
