       Since parents are sometimes called in to deal with their erring
       progeny, he would be allowed to handle it if he wanted; though
       it would possibly need to be witnessed to be sure his own
       weren't getting off easy.  On the other hand, he could certainly
       ask someone else to deal with them, and probably the three boys
       would be dealt with by different principals anyway, since 10 and
       11 would still fall under elementary, while 13 is 8th grade -
       lower secondary.
       Also, read the post about him and his boys more carefully.  The
       13-year old  'is still subject to corporal punishment', though
       they do use a mix of other methods with him as well.
       As for the first fellow - Shreveport and Dallas are on the same
       latitude almost exactly.  While there's a bit of difference in
       terrain, it looks like the average summer temperatures are only
       off by about 3 degrees.  The average daytime humidity in both
       places, however, seems to be about 40% lower than where he
       teaches now.
