       Coming Home/Gaming
By: Jack Date: April 13, 2018, 4:33 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Bryce and Ryan are both home this weekend.
While Ethan, being a senior, still has a lot of stuff going on,
most of Parker's extracurriculars are over for the year, so he
thought about it, and decided to run a role playing game for a
while. He talked to Ryan and Bryce about it, and they talked to
each other, and they decided to come home and spend a couple of
       days working with him.
I don't know how it went from that to this, but it looks like
I'm going to have 30 or 40 older high school and college kids
here tonight. Somehow, they decided they wanted to play MOO2
(Master of Orion 2, I game to which I introduced them a couple
of years ago). I don't understand all the details, but because
we have a number of internet accounts here, they'll be able to
play a number of different games at once, so more and more
people ended up being invited (or inviting themselves).
I certainly don't mind. A lot of these are boys I haven't seen
in a while. Some of them are boys coming home for college just
for this. Others have already graduated and moved on - like
Joss, Tim, and Barrett Seeley - so it'll be like old home week.
Of course, we're also going to make time to see Rampage early
tomorrow, which means I'll be rushing to get from that to
       Connor's party.
And somewhere in all that, I assume they're going to put
       together a role playing scenario.

So many boys, not enough paddles. :P ;) ;D

       How did it go?

We had a great evening. Of course, most of the guests were here
to play, but I had time to catch up with a lot of them. Of
course, almost all of these were younger boys or even young men,
so not a lot of paddles were needed, but it was even nicer,
since I hadn't seen many of them in a while.
Also, it interested some of the younger kids (young teens)
enough that it sounds like we'll be doing this again in a couple
       of weeks.
