The first installment of this series is posted. I am in the
fortunate position to have read subsequent chapters that are
       waiting release.
Campbell, age 15, has suffered the tragic loss of both of his
parents in an accident. Campbell's only current choice is to go
live with his aunt and uncle. His aunt and uncle are part of a
cultish, fundamentalist church and subject their nephew to the
       same.
This series is tragic, sad, and very emotional. I hate, loathe,
despise, abhor, and otherwise dislike Campbell's aunt and uncle
and their church. That is the author's intent.
Jakkedk84 is proving to be the master of capturing emotion with
       this series.
On a personal note, I was raised in a strict, fundamentalist
church, albeit not quite as intense as the one that is forced on
Campbell. Still, a lot of what Campbell faces, I am all too
familiar with. Sadly, these sh-itholes disguised as houses of
worship still exist and I am sure there are many kids suffering
through the experience just like Campbell. Perhaps this personal
connection is what draws me so strongly to this series. The
effects of my hyper conservative religious upbringing impacted
me greatly. I became a "Taylor" (another hateful character in
the series) as an older teen and then had a rather dysfunctional
adult life because of the way my church believed I should be
       raised.
Jakkedk84promises a happy outcome. He better be right.

I echo David's praise of this first of a promised short series.
It's going to be a corker!

Thank you both for your kind words. I really appreciate them.
Campbell does indeed have a good outcome at the end.
