12-year-old Colton has a problem of remembering not to use a
certain derogatory word. His dad decides to step things up to
resolve the issue.
The main focus for me here was to show a decent and loving
father who struggles with giving his son a severe punishment.
I think you will enjoy it.

Great story, with a very realistic premise and reasonable
outcome! I particularly appreciated the comparison of cultural
differences between the U.S. and the U.K. regarding the
offensiveness and vulgarity of certain words. It reminded me of
the grossly indecent (?) swear word "bloody", which in the U.S.
is unused and pretty much devoid of meaning.

Adric,
The part about cultural norms and differences did not exist
until beta reading and editing. My editor strongly suggested
that info be added. I wasn't so sure and, originally, was going
to ignore his suggestion. I am glad now that it stayed in.

Great story. Good writing to bring out the dad’s emotions as
well. Fantastic job.
