Aging Out

I think everyone probably has an idea what I mean by this. When
did (any given person who was raised with spanking as part of
their discipline regiment) stop getting spanked.
I quit being spanked when I stopped it, and I know I'm not the
only one; but that might be something that no longer happens.
When they turned 13 (or some other specific age)
When they started a certain point in school (I've known middle
or high school both)
'As long as you live in this house'
The first obvious signs of puberty or body hair
16/obtaining driver's license
I honestly believe the most common is, there is no official cut
off, you just look back and realize you haven't gotten one in a
long time and aren't worried about getting them anymore.
However, I was wondering if anyone knew other cut off points.

My last was at 15, although they were rare after about 12 (which
would have been the start of junior high for me). At that age,
many of my friends admitted to still getting it, or at least
being worried about getting it at home, and school swats were
very much a thing through the end of high school. I believed it
was still a possibility until I graduated from college and moved
out of the house for good.

My last spanking was at 12-years-old. It was undeserved, at
least in my eyes, not my dads'. Thus, in my memory, this was
the worst spanking I ever got. Shortly after that spanking I
went to California to live with my grandparents while dad was in
Vietnam. When he returned and I got home I got my first new
punishment. Sammed against a wall and punched.
13 was dad's magical number. At thirteen he started treating
you like a man, and not a boy. No more spankings, much worse.
Luckily for me, I went to Indiana to live with my other
grandparents while going to high school, so no more punches for
me. My brothers, not so lucky.
But like already mentioned, getting paddled at school and the
YMCA lasted all the way through high school. Not me, but I saw
others get it.

In my case it was only used when I was very little, and only the
single swat to the seat of the pants variety. Once I was old
enough to be reasoned with, it stopped. In the rare occasions
when I was punished, it was being sent to my room or, later and
with even les frequency, grounded.
In fantasy land, I like "you'll be too old when your behavior
shows you don't need it anymore". Difficult to argue against and
it leaves things delightfully open.

We never had a cut off age, though it only happened a handful of
times after around 16.
