Not sure I would want to live somewhere where bears roam around.

I have to keep my rubbish bins locked inside my garage. The
local bears have dumped them and made off with contents several
times. I have discovered that leaving wind chimes out seems to
encourage the bears to forage elsewhere. At least they haven't
been back here since I hung those chimes. Pretty soon they'll
go to sleep for the winter and I won't have to worry about them
until spring.
