thumbs up! [emoji48] [emoji13][/li]
[li]Plenty of emotional content + some sweet/loving
"reconciliation and forgiveness" where the recently-strapped son
is "welcomed back into the fold" with open arms!

What's not to love? 😎 Should be quite appealing to WHASS
sensibilities, very effectively so, but also with a goodly
helping of "hot" elements 🔥 to intrigue and excite. In
the opening preface, you might notice the shoutout to yours
truly, for the base idea/premise; for what it's worth, I
questioned whether the author had made a conscious endeavor to
actively push my personal buttons, if that tells you anything
helpful... 😉

Guardian - And a Strap

In this second installment, the main character and 1st-persopn
narrator -- husband and father, Cody -- is paid a rather
unpleasant visit by his brother's family, the latter of whom is
rather vocally judgmental, contemptuous even, of our story's
main nuclear family; the brother has some very strong and
unambiguous opinions about what he's doing right (i.e., in
raising his two sons) and what Cody's doing wrong. Not the best
way, quite obviously, to go about making a request and seeking
financial/material assistance, is it? Later that night, however,
the frantic barking of Goliath -- the titular "guardian" of the
series -- calls the family patriarch's attention outdoors, where
he finds his two nephews engaged in some decidedly un-wholesome
misbehavior...
