       Feast of the Sacrifice

       Yesterday was Eid l'Adha.
       My companion and his brother-in-law killed and butchered two
       sheep for the extended family, as is still the tradition. I
       thought they would need specialist help, but no, the men still
       can do everything themselves.  Two of the women did the carving.
       A quarter of the meat must go to poor neighbours.
       To me, it seems more of a feast than a sacrifice.
       In the photo young Mohamed and Mohamed-Amir seem to enjoy their
       part in the proceedings.
