       R.I.P. Lance Kerwin

Lance Kerwin died Tuesday, 24 January 2023. Last I read, causes
       were still unknown.
Lance was born in November 1960. He's probably best remembered
for his role as 'The Boy Who Drank Too Much', "The Loneliest
Runner', "James at 15/16', and "Salem's Lot'.
I had a huge crush on him throughout my childhood. I'm not sure
if it was the perfect, blond hair, the cleft chin, or that nose,
but I could easily see myself being his little brother/sidekick
(which was how I interpreted my feelings back then). As far as
I know, he never had any onscreen spankings or even any good
underwear shots, but he was always one of my favorite boy
actors, even though he hasn't done much in decades.

I loved James at 15, and never missed an episode. When he lost
his virginity as the show became James at [s]15[/s]16, he also
       lost his career. RIP.

I wish "James at 15/16" would have had a better run than one
season. I was 12 when it aired but still enjoyed it.

I haven't watched the series since... Well, since it aired,
maybe. Didn't he loose his virginity in the TV movie, though?
I thought I remembered him sleeping with his girlfriend before
they moved to Boston. I think you're thinking of the episode
       where he got an STI.
Kerwin never really did have a huge career though. Mostly he
was an actor in TV episodes (he appeared in Wonder Woman and the
Bionic Woman - talk about genre appeal!) and TV movies -
especially those 'After School Movie' and 'Movie of the Week'
type. I think his last big role was as the kid in Salem's Lot.

I had to go look at a photo of him before I remembered him, but
once I saw his photo then it all came back who he is/was. Yes,
I liked him as an actor. But then, I liked just about all child
       actors.
