You may well be asking the right question Plag, but to the wrong
people. I'm confident nobody who visits here has any knowledge
of Flag's plans, as they are not members of his inner circle -
if indeed he has one! I suspect only he can tell you what his
plans are with regard to the Forum.

The main MMSA site was moved to a new server within the old
Provider for the sake of speed. Now, how that effected the
forum, I can't tell you. I thought he was updating code on it.

The forum was not moved to the new server. That is what is being
done now but the forum code has to be updated to be compatible.
I have been in communication with Flag. (I don't consider myself
in any sort of "inner circle," the nature of "business" at MMSA
means Ian and the reviewers do have to communicate.) Flag shared
with me the issue with the forum when we were discussing that he
had no time to deal with another issue I was asking him about.
He has run into some RL family issues that have consumed his
time thus making the move take longer than he wanted.
I am told all is well. Time constraints are the issue.
Remember, the forum and the archive are totally separate
entities. They can very well bear different copyright dates
depending on when the last update was done. The forum does say
2020; the main archive says 2022. There is nothing nefarious
going on.

Thank you for the clarification, which is reassuring. I had
suspected that Flag had more pressing matters to deal with.

It's pretty well known that Flag and I don't get along. I won't
go into details, but I feel like it was mostly down to a
misunderstanding.
HOWEVER, my understanding is that Flag has elderly parents who
have health problems, so it's probably very understandable when
he's not able to devote as much attention to the forum or site
as he might hope/expect. That may or may not be accurate, but I
think we all understand how easily RL can sneak up and bite us
in the butt.
