       I found this story really impressive. I particularly enjoyed how
       well the main character's inner thoughts and reactions are
       shown.
       Full disclosure: I know the author, as I'm doing some
       roleplaying with him. That does not change the fact that the
       story is excellent.

       Yes, it's a wonderful story.  Despite the English setting, I
       could totally identify with Peter.

       It's a very well written story. Like Kier, I could identify with
       Peter. However, unlike Peter in the story, I don't think I'd
       have accepted any affection from my uncle and aunt or come to
       any sort of resolution with adults who are such nasty,
       authoritarian bullies. Peter comes off as a pretty typical
       adolescent, who is hardly deserving of the degree of harsh
       punishment he receives. I commend Pete Gradson on developing his
       characters so well. They certainly evoked an emotional response.
