       Story recommendation

       It's very long, and very emotional.  One of the greatest stories
       I have ever read on this forum, and worth all the time it will
       take to read.  Not to be missed.  I'm old and sentimental.
       Getting teary-eyed reading happens all the time, but open
       weeping, three times, is very rare.

       I totally agree.
       It's going on 4 am.  I think I started reading this around
       midnight.  Yes, it's long.  But don't stop thinking about
       returning later to finish it.  Please don't do that.  This is
       NOT a parts and parcel story.  It's one fluid tale, that needs
       to be read as one continuous story.
       I'm emotional, so yes, the emotions get to me and yes, I got
       angry and sad, and I cried, but mostly, I was in awe of the
       greatness of this story.  It was like reading a boy's life
       story.
       The adults act real to life.  The kids act real to life. but
       mostly the lead character acts true to his life, as seen from
       his viewpoint.  This character is a testament to a boy's will to
       survive.
       Just read it.
