Saturday Detention - MMSA story by DMK

This is my second offering to Kat's excellent "Chronicles of the
Red Riders" series.
What is a private school that is used to using paddling as a
major part of its disciplinary program supposed to do when
spanking is outlawed in their state? Well, they set up a
stringent Saturday Detention program wherein students complete
janitorial and grounds work for the school. The result of the
new Saturday Detention? A very clean school and beautifully
maintained grounds and an increase in poor behaviors.
A member of the school's board of trustees knows about the red
rider programs and moves the school adopt the idea for Saturday
Detention and bus the students to a sister school across the
state line. Policy is quickly changed. Parents are also invited
to ride along if they want; you know, to give those "spanked at
school, spanked at home" spankings.
We then get to follow two 7th grade students, Ernie and Steve,
who get to attend Saturday detention under the new guidelines.
We also get to meet the boys' fathers who are night and day of
each other. What happens with Ernie and Steve and their dads?

I'm glad it was Mr Ulrich who was invited to join the school
board and not Mr Kenyon!
