Happy spence is going go and finish his obligations
I get he might not feel up to it and after reading the comments
that follow this chapter I can see how y'all feel for spence ..
for me I think that the dad didn't go up and talk to him before
he left is what's bothering me. It I have faith in the author to
make it all right and that's why I love is stories...

So Simon had a similar experience of being spanked severely in
front of his victims, and it essentially ended his relationship
with his dad. That doesn't seem like quite the story that would
motivate Spence to forgive and forget. It's a complicated
situation, but somehow Simon's story doesn't seem very
comforting.
Spence is going to have to face Daniel again when he goes back
to the project, and I wonder how that will play out.

I should have said this long ago, when we were first discussing
it - maybe I'd moved on in my head, because of the pressures of
writing a daily, month-long series.
HOWEVER....
This story is NOT about Spencer forgiving his dad. This story
is about a young man who Spencer admires, and who needs
Spencer's help, proving to Spencer that he does really
understand how Spencer feels, yet still asking him to help. I
don't see anything that said Spencer forgave his dad. This is
about Spencer putting his feelings aside to help Simon.
