       Christmas Rush 2017
By: Jack Date: December 16, 2017, 7:51 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
First of all - Ryan (and Thomas) and Greg and Christian Hogan
are all home. Jake Hogan just called to say he's getting
breakfast with some friends, already has his car loaded, and
       should be here before noon.
Today's going to be a pretty busy day.
The Christmas Concert is tonight, but there are some of the
groups who've been practicing separately. They're going to have
early practice for those groups today (mostly ones doing
medleys). Then Van is going to do a walk through, giving the
whole group info on who'll be doing what and how to go on and
off. Thankfully, most of the people working on this are pretty
experienced, and he has a number of teachers helping. They're
not going to do a full dress rehearsal, since most of them won't
be changing costumes, but they'll be triple checking to make
sure that those who will be changing costumes have everything
they need and in the right place.
Also, he's mad because he got this on Facebook this morning
  HTML https://vimeo.com/247430344
and he wishes it had been around a couple of weeks ago, because
he would have loved it in the show (I should have known I was
raising a hipster when he started stealing Ryan's hats six years
       ago).
Anyway, I think I've made sure Van will have a ride if he needs
to go anyplace, and I ordered pizza for them mid-afternoon, so
       they should stay well fed.
This morning, I'm taking the kids to the mall (and elsewhere) so
we can make sure all Cousin/Brother gifts are bought, and a few
       random other things.
Somehow, I think that's probably going to keep us busy. Right
now, Kenny is running the kitchen, and breakfast should be ready
       any minute.

I wish Van and everyone putting the concert on good luck and I
       hope all goes great

       What a couple of days.
Today is the last day of school for the year. I've been baking
       all morning.
Knowing the kids were getting out of school this afternoon, Troy
stopped by yesterday. He and William seem mostly happy
together (including the sex life), but Troy still hasn't found
someone to spank him like I do. William comes with him
sometimes, sometimes we do less spanking play (William enjoys
being edged, but I think he lacks the patience to actually do
it. William doesn't like the hardcore spanking Troy does, but
he dosn't mind watching or taking a light dose.
Yesterday, Troy was waiting for me to get back from racquetball.
He was very disappointed to find Christian, Jake, and Greg all
       here.
It did work out in the end, since I got Jake and Greg to both go
over my lap. They were fairly playful 'spankings', but Troy
enjoyed the show very much. After that, all three boys took off
to do some shopping, and I had time to chew Troy out for being
rude and disrupting my schedule, then giving him a long,
thorough hairbrush spanking. Even more fun, I made him put no
an apron, while still bare bottomed, and help me do some
       cooking.
Today, it was raining like mad when it came time to get the kids
to school, but the Hogan boys helped pick up the other kids (PJs
bros and some friends), so everyone got to school.
It's 11:30 now, and I jut took the last batch of cookies out of
the oven. I'm delivering to C&C's classes, Marcus' kids'
classes, Rhett and Ryders' classes, and Adam's class. I am also
taking some to the older kids at BCA, but I have to leave now to
       see the show.

Just re-read the old ones. If anything new and different does
occur, I'll be sure to share the details.

It rained off and on (mostly on) all day yesterday, including
some heavy showers, though i never heard any thunder.
Fortunately, the people who set up the tents are very careful
and experienced, and things stayed dry, with just a little extra
lumber to divert water to a better slope.
I'm assuming because of the showers, we didn't get as many
       guests as we normally do.
I did have one new kid who made a point of introducing him. His
family moved here over the summer, and he's a customer of mine.
When he heard about the open invitation party yesterday,
apparently he asked three questions - "That's the guy who owns
the comic stores?" "Anyone can go?" "Can I bum a ride?"
Nice kid . He's a sophomore, so probably 15 or 16. Nice looking
and decent shape (he has a definite waist), except he has the
widest smile I've ever seen (along with braces and square framed
glasses). Oh, and the tips of his hair are purple - apparently a
leftover from something for Halloween that didn't wash out after
       all.
He hung out with me, until he finally got a tour of the library.
While it was a bit smaller day, last night was pretty much as
expected. The McCalls stayed over last night, so did PJs bros,
and the Guthrey boys, and the Strouse kids. Mostly kids who
wont' have anyone at home this morning, and it was just decided
that it was easier to let them sleepover here, than make them
get up early on their first day of vacation. This being only a
few days before Christmas, it's only taking one warning to
straighten out almost any problem, so even a crowd wasn't hard
to handle. Today's supposed to be nicer, and tomorrow is
supposed to be nearly hot (75F). Also, the next couple of days,
I'm going to be out of the house at least part of the day.
We're going to the North Pole Express today. This is something
we've never done before, but Ryan recommended it (cousin, not
son),so we bought tickets a while back, which is good, because
the whole thing is sold out.
With a little luck, we'll even be back early enough this
afternoon that I'll be here when the UT boys arrive.

We ended up staying longer than I'd planned, but it was a great
time. To be honest, the North Pole Express is more for younger
kids, but I think everyone managed to let their hair down enough
       to enjoy it.
The UT kids arrived home a bit before we did, but they were
talking to Jeremy and eating, and hadn't even started settling
       into their room yet.
We're having individual parties tonight, but I should have
plenty of help getting things set up, and Cathy's doing the food
at the Berry Patch. Some of the kids will still be spending the
night, but some will be going home. Then almost all will be
going home tomorrow morning, to give me a bit of a break before
       the cousins arrive.

Before the family Christmas Eve celebration tomorrow, we're
going to go to the Candlelight song service at church. Then
we'll all come back here, have dinner, then open gifts
(eventually - after driving the kids crazy enough).
Kaden and Jeremy didn't have suits, so we had to sneak off and
       go shopping this afternoon.
It wasn't too hard to fit them. Kaden is an Autumn, so we got
him a nice, chocolate blazer, lighter brown (kind of tan or
khaki) slacks, a pale yellow shirt, and a chocolate bow tie.
Jeremy is more of a winter, so we bought him something a bit
more traditional - navy slacks and coat, with a pale pink shirt
       and a burgundyish tie.
Both of them are very impressed with themselves :)
