This recommendation may sound a little weird since it's a story
written in Italian and I don't speak that language and as far as
I know no one here speaks it. However, I read it with google
translate, and the translation, while not perfect, is good
enough to follow the story well and realize how well-written it
is.
It's about a father with 4 sons (a 16-year-old, two 12-year-old
twins and a 10-year-old) who feels his sons' behavior is getting
out of control, so he decides to change his parenting style.
It's narrated in first person by the father, and it's very
realistic in the way it depicts the psychology of the
characters. It's really good.

I reviewed the story.
Daniel is correct. It is a superb story! I totally recommend a
read. The Google translate version renders beautifully and I
had no issues following the story.

I've read the twenty-five chapters that are published. Like many
MMSA stories and series, this one leaves me ambivalent. I can
tell it's well written, even with the Google translation's
limitations. It murders pronoun translations, often getting the
wrong gender. Usually, the context makes the meaning clear,
though.
I've read several stories/series with a new regime theme on
MMSA. It's often a stepfather who introduces corporal punishment
as an unwelcome form of discipline. The stepfather is either a
total jerk or a saint. The father in this one comes across as
well-meaning and not intentionally sadistic. He tries to avoid
slipping into authoritarianism, but he never quite seems to get
things right. He appears to make up the rules as he goes, as
well as changing rules in midstream with no prior warning. I
think it would be really rough on kids to be in a situation this
fluid. Luckily, these aren't real kids, of course. I think I'd
find the series hotter if he adopted a consistent and
conventional approach.

I haven't read the series.
But just going by your comments, maybe that is what the author
is trying to get across. Now all parents are like our Jack
Wells and has a system.
Possibly, real parents, in the real world are more like this
father. Inconsistent, as he muddles his way through parenthood.
By the time many parents figure out a system, their children
are grown and gone. Just saying. Real life is a mess. It's
not ordered. It doesn't come with an instruction manual.
Just an observation from your comments. Nothing more.
Have a wonderful day.
