Kaden's brothers took matters into his own hands on one gift.
He's know the proud owner of a 15" long, 2 1/2 wide, 3/8ths
inch thick, maple paddle, named Kaden's Attitude Adjuster, with
a hole to hang it, when he gets back into his own room.
He simultaneously loved it and nearly died from embarrassment.
I'll bet you he hangs it without having to be reminded, though.

Cool Christmas present! ;D Glad to hear he loved it.

Did his brothers request they give their present for a "try
out"?
I hope Fido wasn't left out of the Christmas celebrations.
Woudn't want to get on the wrong side that bunny.

The boys gave Kaden his paddle towards the end. Suggestions
were made about it being used, which resulted in a bit of a
wrestling match and a few swats were applied, but they were
about the same as birthday spanks, and a couple of the older
boys broke things up before feelings got hurt.
Fido did get his own presents. Unwrapping them is kind of fun,
but Van will usually work some of the paper loose to see if
Fido's will to work at it or not. He received a puffer jacket
to wear outside when it's very cold, a new blankie, a small bale
of sweet timothy, and a 'bun fun tree' which is kind of like a
scratching post with chew toys hanging from it.

Sometimes he has a great deal of fun with it. Other times, he
just leaves it for one of his servants to handle.

Back to Kaden.... His mom was able to call yesterday. Normally
the time would be fairly limited, but she's in something on an
unusual position, so they allowed her to stay on about 30
minutes. Kaden introduced me, and I informed her of the current
situation (she already knew parts of it). She asked some
questions, but once she found out that I'll be keeping him, that
my son is his couch, and that he already knew some of my boys,
she seemed much easier. After that, I left them alone to talk.
I think he feels 1000% better now.

Well, I had asked in another thread about Fido before reading
here. So, don't worry about answering that part. ;D

The paddle sounds like an interesting gift. I think it will
help Kaden feel accepted.
Frankly, I see Kaden as really long term with you even if
adoption is not an option. Will adding Kaden and PJ's brothers
to the house cause a big room change up?

I think you're right. It could have a lot of different
meanings, but in this case, I'm pretty sure it means - 'if
you're part of our family, you're going to need this - Welcome
aboard.'

I had been planning to discuss this elsewhere. For now, I'll
just say that most of the college kids go back to school right
after Martlin Luther King, Jr. Day, which is 1/15 - two weeks
after New Years. On the other hand, a few start going back a
week before that. Further, Jake and Christian hogan are going
to arrive next week, so we'll be pretty crowded for a bit. In
independent news, I'm getting pretty fed up with Clayton. If it
was just me and him, I'd make him start handling his share of
bills, and that would be that. Instead, I'm pretty sure I'm
going to require him to move out at some point in the next four
months. I honestly don't think any of the home kids are ready
to live outside the house (except Parker, but that won't work
for other reasons), so we'll probably use the garage apartment
for a couple of the college boys. Also, Steve and Bobby have
considered buying a house (one purchasing, the other renting),
and they've talked about Mike Guice also renting, which would
probably mean he'd be here for less time during school breaks.
If Jake and Ryan move in, and I make no other changes to the
situation that's set up now for the home boys, I think that
would fill all 9 of those bedrooms, while leaving me with while
leaving me with 9 college boys, and Jeremy, and only 3 extra
rooms.
Fortunately, the boys' bedrooms are nowhere near as small as the
one I had as a kid, and none of them are as introverted as I am,
so I'm sure we can work things out.
For now, the worst thing Kaden has had to deal with is finding
out what to do about masturbation when sharing a room with his
little brothers.

Just out of curiosity, what's going on with Clayton? Why are you
fed up with him?
