I used to go to church a lot. My mom went with my grandma, and
I went with them. Marty usually went with us, and sometimes my
dad did. Sometimes Dad’s brother and my aunt and their kids
would go. A lot of times, we’d all go out to eat afterwards.
It was nice.
A few years ago, we quit going so much. Grandma kept going, but
I think Mom quit because things started getting really political
and people started arguing about stuff. I kind of missed going,
but I didn’t miss all the arguments.
Or maybe I was just getting too old.
Then, a few months back, Mom started attending a new church. I
didn’t really want to go with her, but she liked it, and she
kept going, and she kept asking me.
I finally went.
It wasn’t bad. They didn’t talk about politics and argue about
things all the time. It felt like what a church was supposed to
be. I didn’t go all the time anymore, and Grandma won’t visit
it -- she says it’s not a real church because the name is wrong
-- but Mom likes it, and I like it enough to go when I can.
So that Sunday, I went with mom.
After the service, I met with the youth minister, Mr. Todd. He
started to tell me about the Christmas Pageant mom had
volunteered me for, but then he stopped.
“Spencer, this is Simon Brisbane. Simon, this is the young man
who’s going to be your assistant.”
I turned around as Mr. Todd introduced us and found myself
looking up at a beautiful guy, who didn’t seem much older than
me. As a freshman in high school, I guess I’m about halfway
between looking like an adult and a kid. I was 5’5” when school
started, and I know we had to get me all new long pants since
then, so I’m probably 5’7” or a little taller now. Simon was at
least five, maybe six inches taller than I was.
“Simon is directing the actual play, Spence,” Mr. Todd informed
me. “You’re going to be his assistant. What he’ll be doing is
actually teaching the actors where to stand and move and say
their lines,” Mr. Todd went on. “Your job will be making sure
everything else that needs to get done is happening.”
Mr. Todd paused and looked at Simon, then back at me.
“Do you know Troy Swan?”
I nodded. Troy was in eighth grade, but his big brother was a
year ahead of me, and one of his little brothers was friends
with Marty. It’s not like we were best buds or anything, but I
knew him.
“The two of you are going to both be my assistants,’ Simon said,
“At least kind of. Troy’s going to be more like a gopher. I’m
going to need you to be independent. You can ask me how to do
something if you need to, but I’m going to be studying for
finals at first while we’re doing this, so I need you to get
things done without me being on you all the time. Can you do
that?”
I thought about it for a second, then nodded. I was pretty good
about working on my own, and I didn’t think it’d be a problem.
Unlike him, I wouldn’t have finals until January, and debate was
already done until after the holidays, so things should be
pretty easy for me.
“Good,” Mr. Todd said. “I’m not going to be able to be here
most of the time. Between paperwork, then classes to prepare
for and give in the evenings and weekends, I’m usually gone
around the time you guys get out of school”
I nodded, secretly kind of glad. Mr. Todd was a real nice guy,
but he was kind of overweight, and not very good looking.
Certainly not like Simon, who was tall and lean. He wasn’t
wearing a coat, and you could tell his upper body was pretty
firm.
I promised them both I’d come straight over after school
tomorrow, the day before rehearsal actually started, so me,
Simon, and Troy could make sure we were all on the same page.
They said goodbye and walked away. I was about to head home,
but I couldn’t help watching a minute. Simon’s pants weren’t
tight, but it looked like he had a really round butt. I
couldn’t help but wonder if the local college had any
fraternities and if Simon had ever been paddled. I looked
around, then carefully shifted so it wasn’t too obvious I was
hard; then I headed for the side door, hoping no one would
notice me.

Loving the story.
Just a small question. Is this supposed to be part 2 or is it
just a continuation of part 1 and part 2 is coming later? Under
the title it says Part 1 in Green like the previous story.

I'm sure I had that as part 2, not sure how the '1' got there.
Each day will be a separate part as far as I'm concerned.

Okay, the plot thickens. Simon, Troy, and Spencer. Off to a
good start. ...
