29 February 2020 - Checking In

I just wanted to assure everyone that I am still alive, and that
everything is going fairly well around here.
The simple fact is that I've been running this forum for more
than 11 years now, and it's hard to keep up with regular
updates. I know many of you are interested in what's going on,
but the simple fact is that for me, most of this is life as
usual. Raising this many boys over this many years, you learn
that most things tend to repeat.
Jake, Kline, Chance, Colt, and Curtis have all already had
birthdays this year. Van's 18th birthday was yesterday (if you
can believe that). Liam's 19th is tomorrow. Van had a party
last night at the family center - he and the Phantoms played for
a while, but they had a deejay for most of it. We had it
catered. Liam's having his party this evening, mostly with his
school friends. After a lot of debate, his regular friends are
all meeting to see the Invisible Man this afternoon, then
they're all meeting back here this evening with the rest of the
guest, and I'll be grilling burgers and dawgs.
There have been a few CP incidents that didn't get posted, and
I'll try to take care of that. There have just been a lot of
things going on - some family and home, some school, some
business, and some just life. I'm also making a real effort to
spend at least a few minutes by myself just being quiet every
day, instead of constantly running and doing.
Rest assured, if anything happens that seems especially
noteworthy or relevant, I'll make time to get it posted.

Wow! And he was the baby of the family... how fast time passes.
We understand your spending less time writing about your family
life. If what you need now is more time for yourself, you must
take it, and we appreciate and are thankful for all the little
and big stories you have told and any updates you want to write.
The forum should never be an unwelcome obligation, but I hope
you won't get rid of it. BOTD's are fun, and you never know,
perhaps in a few years you'll want to write a lot more. Or
perhaps not, but having the forum is nice.
