Winter 2019/20 Spanking Report

I don't know if my earlier comments were a prophecy or just a
warning about my mood, but the first post-Christmas spanking has
occurred.
As I said elsewhere, most of the grands are home today, but I am
keeping my three grand-nephews (14 year old Clayton, 11 year old
Andy, and 8 year old Drew - Yes, Clayton is old enough to stay
home alone, but because of previous indiscretions, he's not
allowed to this time. Also yes, Andy and Connor are in the same
grade, Andy's birthday is just in the fall.) since their parents
both have to work today and tomorrow.
I told my boys last night that they didn't have a bedtime until
after New Year's, but that they were still responsible for
getting their chores done - and if they aren't timed (like
dinner dishes), then they need to be done first thing in the
morning. And yes, unless you have specific permission otherwise
(like for a sleepover), they need to be done first thing in the
morning even if you have friends here when you wake up.
The GNs got here just before 8am. Curtis wasn't still asleep,
but he was still abed. Ollie got him up, he ate breakfast, and
then I spoke to him. The thing is, all of my kids have been
sliding on chores a bit for about the last week, largely because
there was so much going on, they were helping in other places,
and it was approaching Christmas . Liam, Leif, and Connor seemed
to especially be taking advantage of that. Since Ollie was
here, I specifically took Curtis aside, reminded him he already
had two strikes and two warnings, which was enough to merit a
spanking on it's own, so he needed to get on the ball. Of
course, being 8 years old and invincible, he took the
oppurtunity to take Ollie to his room and decide they should
start building his new Lego Hidden Side High School playset.
Not wanting to totally humiliate Curtis, I told Ollie... If you
don't know about Lego Hidden World, it's interactive, and you
have to have cell phones to get the full benefit of it. I sent
Ollie to my office to read about it on the phones I found for
them to use and make sure they both started up okay.
When I got back, Curtis had anxiously started his chores, but it
was too little, too late, since this was pretty much direct
disobedience along with the not started chores.
Curtis was still wearing a pair of plaid, flannel, adult style
pajamas (in a nice, white and green plaid - Holden?). We got
the bottoms off and got him over my lap. It wasn't the spanking
that direct disobedience called for, but it probably a little
firmer than a regular chore spanking - just hand though - no
Tailblazer. Still enough he was having a pretty good cry before
I finished.
We hugged a minute, and I reminded him of the importance of
following the rules and listening to warnings, then I told him
to go ahead and get dressed and get his chores done, so they
could play.
You'd think that would be the end of it, but Ollie isn't stupid,
and he has been part of the family longer than Curtis. He knew
what was probably going to happen. I don't know if he actually
spied on Curtis' spanking or not, but I did catch him teasing
Curtis a bit and trying to smack his bottom (which was bare). I
asked Ollie if he wanted a spanking of his own. He assured me
he did not. I asked him if he thought we should ask his dad.
He didn't think that was a good idea. He was wearing sweat
pants, so I ran those and his briefs down to his ankles and let
him stand in the corner while Curtis finished his chores, and
while I decided if Ollie needed a spanking or not (he didn't).
When chores were done, I let Ollie know the good news (Curtis
did a pretty good job of hiding his disappointment if he did
feel any). Both boys got hugs, got dressed, and then they got
back to the important business of Legos.

Why was Curtis' bottom bare? Didn't he get dressed when you told
him?

No, he was bare from the waist down (still wearing his
unbuttoned pajama top). As I've said before, dress is pretty
casual around our house, so I'm guessing he just didn't feel
like covering his bottom at that point. He had just been doing
stuff in his room up to that point, and not much time had gone
by.

No real spankings last night, but there were quite a few swats
on the 8 to 12 crowd - and yes, that's more than just Connor and
Curtis right now.
School starts back Wednesday morning, so we all pretty much
agreed the kids need to be back on school schedule starting last
night, to make sure Wednesday morning isn't too horrible for
anyone. Now, all the grands get to school on their own when
it's in session. The trouble is that Marcus and Chris both start
back in-service today, and Bridgette also started back today,
while the kids have another two days free. Except for my grand
nephews, it was decided it was easier for everyone to stay over
last night, than for the parents to have to get back to work
today, while also getting the kids up and ready, then detouring
over here to drop them off.
it wasn't too big a hassle with the older kids (who have looser
bedtimes anyway - I just made it clear no sleeping in and no
naps today), but there were fusses last night as I was pretty
strict about the younger kids having to put aside their games
and go to bed on time. Popop, not being in the mood for a lot
of drama (and not being very tolerant since this had been
discussed several times over three or four days), started
undressing boys and swatting bottoms.
It's amazing how much faster other boys start moving once that
beings. Just to be fair, I did make them all line up and wait -
youngest to oldest - for a firm smack, just to make sure no one
missed out.
Getting up this morning was much easier.

First actual spankings of the years have occurred - it was
grandkids though :(
I said yesterday that we're getting back on a school schedule
now, and that I have pretty much all the local grands yesterday
and today (school starts in the morning, so everyone will be
going home this evening).
Last night, after some assorted smacks on Sunday night, things
seemed to be going smoothly. Kelly and Ryan Tucker with with my
older sons, Jake and Dylan were off in with Connor in their
room, and Kline was actually helping keep the younger kids
moving. Then I looked around and realized that my two next
oldest tween grandsons were missing - Glenn and Brennan. It
turns out the two of them had decided that, since Popup was busy
with the younger ones, and the two of them were going to have to
wait, it would be a good time to sneak off and sneak in a little
extra video game time. Of course, the operative word there is
'sneaking' since they'd not only used all their screen for the
day, but had specifically been told not to do that.
Once Popop was sure the little guys were organized and moving,
he escorted Brennan and Glenn to his office, where the two of
them were bared.
Brennan just turned 12 in November, and Glenn will be 12 in
April. Both of them are early adolescent right now and not too
shy in general, but you can tell they weren't happy to be there
while I undressed them.
Wandering off while the little guys were getting bathed and
ready for bed isn't a huge thing, going over on the screen time
is a bit more, but they'd been specifically told not to wonder
off after we started getting ready for bed, so I counted this as
disobedience, and when I pointed that out, you could tell they
knew they'd screwed up.
Both of them got a regular set with the Tailblazer and Brennan
absolutely hated being the older boy and having to wait. Both
of them had a good cry.
I had them go to the corner, but by then, my bathroom was empty,
so I marched them in there to get cleaned up and ready for bed.
The two of them showered together, and they actually took care
of things quickly enough that they were still able to join us
for story time.

Amazing how the boyish mind decides that something like this was
a good idea. It's clear that potential consequences are
irrelevant against certain video-game satisfaction. :D
Did they get over it quickly? And were the other boys aware of
the spanking?

I think it's a combination of 'he won't notice if we don't take
too long' and just no thought of consequence.
It didn't take too long - a few minutes of lecture, a couple of
minutes to get them undressed and ready, three to four minutes
for both actual spankings and changing the boy, - maybe 10
minutes total?
I'm pretty sure everyone had some idea something was happening,
and most of the time 'spanking' is a pretty safe guess.
