For the record, I think this was less a general dislike of being
treated differently and more about how his friends would view
him (or how he'd view himself?) if they were all spanked but he
wasn't for the exact same offense.

It's sometimes hard to motivate myself to write these days, but
I am trying to keep these things fairly up to date, so
Connor and Curtis got spanked Thursday night.
It was mostly a chore spanking. Connor has already been in
trouble for similar behavior this year, and both of the boys
have been dragging their feet lately. Honestly, there's not
much difference in the amount of sleep that the two boys need,
but since Connor is older, i give him a bit more time. Since
the two of them still get their baths at night, they don't
really need to be up before 7am, so I start getting them up at
6:45. If Connor is in bed by 8:45, and Curtis by about 8:30,
both of them get enough sleep. They manage to get their baths
and other bedtime chores without too much hassle these days, so
I want the two of them to have their chores finished and baths
done by 8:15, which usually means getting into the tub by 8pm.
Connor has a bit more leeway. They often take a bath or shower
together, but sometimes Connor will wait and take his after
Curtis is already in bed. We normally do story time after
they're ready for bed.
We've been having some trouble recently - not quite the past two
weeks, since I know it didn't start until a few days after
Halloween - not so much with the boys not doing chores, but with
them giving a lick and a promise instead of really doing the
job, and with them dragging their feet and not getting them done
on time.
Thursday night, both of them were at two chores, and they hadn't
even started them when I went to check at 8pm, so I just told
them enough was enough. I stripped them both bare, then took
Connor over my left knee and Curtis over my right. It wouldn't
have worked for a serious spanking, but I just used my hand. It
was enough to have both of them squirming all over the place,
and both of them were having a good cry, but neither really
broke down and bawled.
Since Connor is bigger and older, I started by giving him a good
four firm swats, then I gave two to Curtis, before starting back
and forth. When I finished with Curtis, with two solid swats on
his rear, Curtis got two on his rear, then two on his legs and
two more on his sit spots. I let them both up, gave them a
quick hug, then had them do their chores with their little rears
shining, before sticking them in the shower. I'm not sure if
they thought the spanking was the worst part, or if it meant we
had to miss story time, but I think I got through to them.

Thanks for making the effort!
Looks like the chores spanking virus attacks again. I guess they
must be used to getting spanked together by now, but were they
self-conscious about it in the beginning?

I don't think the two at once makes them self-conscious. I
think when they have to take turns, which usually leaves Connor
having to stand and wait, it does make him pretty uncomfortable,
though I'm not sure self-conscious is the right term.

Yes, the spanking zeroed out their strikes and they've been
paying a lot more attention to getting things done and done on
time in the past few days.
