I think I've talked about this in chat, but if I mentioned here,
       I can't find it.
We are going to be taking a vacation next month, leaving 8 July
       and returning on the 12th.
This year, we're staying at a really nice resort, which includes
a water park among it's amenities.
It looks like we'll be arriving Monday early afternoon and
leaving as late Friday as they'll allow, and spending the rest
of those days there. I am planning to try something a bit
different this year. Instead of just going down there and
mostly doing the amusement parks, we're going to spend part of
each day at the resort, and part of it (probably the morning,
before it gets too hot) doing tourist attraction stuff, from the
Alamo, to the San Antonio Zoo, and especially the 'DoSeum'.
Depending on that goes, we could decide to spend a day at one or
more of the parks down there, but I think there will be plenty
       to keep us busy.
And before anyone asks - yes, Craig is going with us. This is
going to be the extended family, and all the grands that live
locally will be with us, as well as Duncan, Griffon, and Gwyn.
I will also be taking the Henderson boys (Bridgette can't get
off work, but she's excited to have the house to herself for a
bit), and my 'extra' boys, like Chandler, Billy, and Bruce.
It'll be a crowd, but I have so many kids in college right now,
and so many of them are really helpful, that it won't be much
       trouble.

While we visit San Antonio on a regular basis (once every 2 or 3
years anyway), we usually focus more on the different amusement
parks in the area. I decided that we already have access to
good parks around here, and we're making plans for Orlando next
summer, so I wanted to do things a bit different this year. Of
course, now that I only have two pre-teens of my own and kids of
mine with kids of their own, it's a lot easier to do things like
this, since we can break up a bit to do age appropriate things
without me having to worry (as much) about direct supervision.
