...I noticed that some others did the same. Nobody wanted to be
seen in underwear, until boxers came out in my early teens.

Let me remind everyone that boys on both sides of my family tend
to have a problem with wetting the bed, so I almost never had
sleepovers until I was 11, when that problem repaired itself.
Having said that, I had a number of sleepovers in 6th grade and
middle school, and I don't remember anyone who didn't sleep in
their briefs. The only caveat is that most of us stayed dressed
while the parents were awake or we retired to our bedroom. I
put that down more to shyness of parents (especially moms) and
any sisters who might be in the house. I do remember a couple
of families where there was no shyness at all.

My 10-year old, Connor, got spanked last night.
It turns out he's been having trouble with his maths homework.
Fourth graders don't have finals, per se, but his teacher was
tidying up her gradebook and sent me an e-mail that his grades
have been slipping a bit, mostly because of unfinished work.
It's not that he hasn't been turning it in, but more that he has
been leaving the last few problems unsolved on several papers.
After dinner, Connor and I went to my office. I showed him the
e-mail, then his homework folder. I pointed out that the folder
was call for a thorough spanking, but that being honest night
mitigate that.
It has basically been a time management problem. With baseball
and more daylight, Conn skipped a bit of homework to get video
games in before bedtime.
We decided that Con is on homework checks the rest of the school
year and he can't play video games until I've played his
homework. He's also grounded from video games until his
make-up work is finished.
After we agreed on that, we got him bared, and he had a regular
session with the Tailblazer. We cuddled until he settled down,
then I let him out his shorts back on, dart him at my desk, and
he did homework until time to get ready for bdd. That wasn't
long, and his little rear was still pretty red by bath time.

FYI: 'Carr's him at my desk is supposed to be 'day him at...'

So he didn't shoplift, as in the recent fictional BOTD, but he
did skip his homework. Poor little guy, he's got double
punishment! (the spanking and no video games until he's up to
date with his homework)... Just joking, I know the second one is
not really a punishment.

Yeah, this type of thing is always a bit hard to decide.
Similarly, it took me a while to decide that the lies aren't
something seperate, but a 'lesser included offense.
In this case, the kids don't really get video game time until
homework is finished anyway, so...
