IUS Declaration of War against the NCSA
DIR By: Caos

---------------------------------------------------------
OOC: I'm going to be fighting the NCSA's region military, as is
the rule when a foreign power threatens. The Secretary of
Defense should be in charge of that, if I am correct. Any and
all IUS states that wish to participate will be notifying me. If
possible, I'll get them to RP over here. With congressional
approval, of course. If not, then you may use my forums for
that. Everyone ready? Good.
So, here's the thing:
No Nukes, no Chemical warfare, no Rods. Nothing like that. No
controversial weapons of war. No PMT, alright? Good.

> Observing from afar, we, the people of the IUS have come to
one unanimous decision: the NCSA's government is inadequately
prepared for their task. They oppress their people, and they are
fraught with rebellions and uprising. Only recently has their
government even started to clear out and create a safer area in
the white area, which has, for the longest time, been the most
dangerous place in the NCSA.
>
> Every day, nations cease to be in this corrupt government.
Officials accept bribes on a daily basis, and those in power
stay in power by breaking the laws that they themselves made.
The highest of these even using techniques that they themselves
sued another country for using against them.
>
> Day after day, the basic citizens of the NCSA, occupying
regional government territory or not, are oppressed; their ways
of life ripped apart by the army that swore to protect them.
Atrocities are committed by basic members and their crimes go
unnoticed. But no longer. No longer can another sovereign state
watch this go unnoticed.
>
> And so, it is with heavy heart that the Government of the IUS,
seeking to protect the sovereignty and basic rights of nations
and people alike, declare on this day, Wednesday, September 3rd
in the year of our Lord two thousand and fourteen, a state of
war between the region of NCSA and the IUS.

Far across the waves, beyond the icy northern waters of the top
of the world, lay a region, on the other side of the world. The
tops of the region were iced, large mountainous structures
rising up from the snow in a show of geological power, brought
on by not a mortal man, yet harvested, lived, and controlled by
one. These icy peaks were surrounded by the frozen waters, ice
bergs floating beyond the unfrozen ice sheet.
Barely any lived in these waters, the ones who do rugged beyond
comparison. These men who live here endure cold that even bitter
winter regions would be frightened of. And these men do it on a
daily basis, not a single one succumbing to the icy grips of
death and their friends.
Past these frozen wastelands were dotted cities of millions,
like the bustling metropolises of the Midwest, yet busier,
bigger, and sometimes safer. These cities were few and far
between, marked by wide roads that stretched dozens to hundreds
of miles across the deserts of snow and ice never melting.
Occasionally, the iced walls of a stone walled fortress would
protrude from the depths of white, even rarer than the walled
cities were. But these were not cities of civilians, but of men
of steel and titanium: Soldiers, even harder than those who
lived farther up north.
Farther down south, the waters warmed up some, leaving instead
of sheets of ice, chunks, floating carelessly in the water as a
menace to navigation and ships alike. It was in these warmer
waters that the strongest hulled of warships floated, their
metal hulls bashing and crushing ice flows beneath their wake as
easily as hot knives cut through butter. And it is beneath these
waves that titanium hulled submarines patrol, their sharp and
hard bridges cutting through the flows with less ease.
More cities dotted these landscapes, with forests appearing
amongst the light dotted landscapes of snow, ice, and death.
Airfields, planes, and wheeled cars patrolled these lands,
instead of military grade tractors, helicopters and aircraft of
the deep north. Further down south now, the diversity of life,
east and west, is realized.
Warmer landscapes and forests appear, and ice becomes a winter
only thing, feared by the warmest climates only in the air, but
revered in their drinks as heat waves pass over them. Cities are
common, with country homes being the rarest. Fortresses now
would dot all aspects of the land, and open topped cars and even
motorbikes are more common than military vehicles would ever be.
Swamps dot the landscapes like the deep north fortresses did,
with the rarest of life forms living where humans interact.
Only the dumbest from here travel to the deep north to converse
in private with people, most preferring to do it over phone.
Rarely, though, a plane from the deep north would take off to
the icy planes, and even more rarely never to return again.
It is here where the most live, the climate perfect for outdoor
activities. But these people can be soft, taking their lands for
granted, their freedoms like taxes: something they will always
have. Even more south was people, living in these extreme
conditions. The further south one went, the more the climate
changes repeated themselves, until a frozen wasteland inhabited
by nothing known to man was.
These were the diverse and ever changing lands of the
International Union of States. These were the free, unoppressed
peoples. It was here, in these lands, that the military of the
government and the people was mobilizing under one banner:
Freedom and liberation. Each nation, commanded by a different
leader and different officer, came together to fight against an
oppressing region. Among these nations were famous leaders,
generals and tacticians unrivaled in the field of war and
strategy.
And it was here that these men boarded their own ships, massive
warships of navies large and small, a spearhead formed by the
largest nations. Millions of people were waiting ashore, and
hundreds of thousands were aboard their ships, waiting for
transport.
This was the liberation force, commanded by a man unknown to the
NCSA so far. There was a good chance, however, that they would
come to know him, and know him well as the liberator of the
oppressing government. They would know him. And they would come
to fear him, and some would come to fear him as Death, The
Destroyer of Worlds.
