The Vulcan Confederation heard news of freedomtown and learned
Alden Tate had his focus retaking Earth. Luckily a small
population of Vulcan resided still in the original home system
and the only buffer between Vulcan and Earth in the Sol System.
Trekylon was sending a general to give a briefing to Vulcan
Admiral Y'Sek Dahr. So far no word on arrival of the official.

General George Patton III had been on his way to Gaia when he
was given new orders to proceed to Vulcan. It had recently been
learned that the rebel military leader Alden Tate had announced
his intention of retaking Earth for the new Trekylon once the
overthrow of the current government was completed. Patton III
received the news with a mixture of cynicism and disbelief.
Checking with his pilot, Patton III was told that they would
reach Vulcan in four days.

Dawn watched as the engineers, conscripted by the rebel civic
leadership, worked on the anti-personnel and anti-aircraft
batteries along the ancient-looking walls which marked the
boundary of the city. Thanks to a secret correspondence with a
high-ranking Imperial official, he was convinced that his best
course was to secretly assist the empire. He had been feeding
them information on fleet movements and troop movements on the
captive planets for the last few weeks, but began to feel that
he needed to do more. When he was placed in charge of
Adamsville's defenses, he saw his chance. Quietly he had begun
altering the defensive plans ever so slightly as to not give
himself away, yet substantial enough that when the assault came,
the Imperial/multinational forces would find it easier to
neutralize the sentries and enter the city. His next and final
plan would then come into play once the liberation forces
entered the city.

Administer K'Les approached Admiral Y'Sek Dahr. It was news that
a Trekylon representative was on the way. However more bad news
have come in that Alden Tate was receiving support from a group
of terrorist long since dead the Dominion War. Now they have
resurfaced as the New Maquis Coalition with the Breen
Confederacy aiding them in their rise secretly. They have moved
their headquarters somewhere unknown in the Alpha Quadrant. It
was always policy on Vulcan that the Maquis were terrorist that
deserved no hope. This new worry will spell new tensions with
the subdued Dominion in the Gamma Quadrant. Even so the Jem Hadr
have broken away to form their own government causing
restlessness between them and the those surviving changelings in
the Gamma Quadrant.

General George Patton III finally arrived, looking somewhat put
upon. He had only received news that Tate had published a new
manifesto demanding the Barlat and Laptev powers withdraw from
Earth and surrender the other star systems formerly under
Trekylonian control that they had captured as a result of the
Twist Diktat. He knew that this demand by the rebel hierarchy
would only embolden the foreign nations supporting the central
government into pushing for further territorial adjustments in
the new galaxy and potentially place them in what has to this
point been the exclusive galactic dominion of Trekylon,
Inuyashia and the rest of the IGF. He was met by Admiral Y'Sek
Dahr and Administrator K'Les, who both offered the Vulcan
salute. He returned the gesture, following it up with a
handshake each.
Patton - "Administrator, Admiral. I won't waste time on
pleasantries for I know you both have much to attend to already
and I am also needed."

"Well there is growing concern of the New Maquis Coalition in
Breen territory. It appears they have a new base. But we are
just examining now how great a threat they are. That this
distraction should not take away from Bartlat and Laptev,
General. "-Administrator K'Les, as he straightened himself up.
"New Vulcan plans to move to Deep Space for joint operations.
Even so the Klingon-Romulan Alliance has emerged as well I must
say along with Tzenkethi they are trying to recruit in part of a
new pact."

Patton - "You mean the coalition that will be joining in the
liberation of the colonies occupied by the rebels? We welcome
this. Perhaps if the New Maquis Coalition would like to
participate as well, the emperor would be amenable to granting
amnesty and full pardons to them, and offer them either
sovereign status as an independent nation, or rejoin the empire.
Plus, there is already discussion about a possible return to the
Milky Way, especially in light of the actions of the Great
Houses of Xie recently, in the Azuria system."

"Yes Deep Space Nine is our only line of defense at the moment.
That means any partnership with the Maquis is out of the
question. However a NAP is not totally being ruled out either.
To give them status to join the empire or independent nation
status is not on table at least in Administrator's eyes at this
time. The good news is in Gamma Quadrant, or should say the
reformed Jem'Hadr Republic which formerly known as The Dominion
has agreed to provide support. The Cardassians have made a
commitment as well to allow use of Empok Nor."- Administrator

Patton - "His Imperial Majesty will have to make the
determination on whether to seek a redress with the Maquis. In
the meantime, we still have the rebel occupations of New Oberon
and Taborica to attend to."
He expected the Vulcans to be less than enthusiastic about the
possible talks with the Maquis.

The Battle of Adamsville (Summary)
[i]Joining with the partisans who had helped liberate the
planetary capital, the Imperial and multinational army advanced
to the outskirts of Adamsville. Thanks to Tarvis Dawn's
sabotage, the defense-systems of the town went inoperative just
before the first regiments of Imperial Centurions came into
firing range. With no defensive fire to hold them back, the
Centurions marched deeper into the suburbs, closing on the wall
separating the business/residential from the urban-financial,
clone troops finally charged forward, rifles blazing. Partisans
began scaling the wall at several points, engaging in brief
skirmishes with clone troops before securing the outermost
defensive structure. Imperial Keshik tanks and Panther
hovertanks closed down the major avenues of escape. Redtroops
rushed in to join their chrome comrades in the firefight...[/b]
[hr]
Tarvis Dawn watched as rebel forces within the city began to
stir. He knew that even without the defense-systems in
operation, the rebels would fight to the last man to hold on to
this last redoubt. He also knew that the death-toll from the
battle would exceed his worst expectations imaginable. He began
to ponder a means of reducing the number of rebel forces to a
smaller amount even as explosions beyond the walls caused
tremors all across the city. He then remembered that many of the
anti-personnel and anti-armor turrets could be pointed into the
city. With this in mind, he returned to the control panel and
entered new target coordinates into the system before
reactivating the system.
Dawn - "That's all I can do from here. I better get to the
safezone and flash my signal before the rebels get too close to
the walls."
He dashed from the room as more tremors shook the building.
Pieces of ceiling came down and Dawn had to dodge one panel
which came perilously close to crushing his skull. He bolted
from the building just as the doorposts began to come apart.
Running as fast as he could, Dawn made his way to a walltower,
highlighted by the explosions on the other side of the wall. He
almost made it to the door when he heard a deep, evil voice call
out.
"Halt!"
He turned just long to see three Infiltrators, the hit-men of
The Fist, closing on him. Knowing that capture would likely mean
brainwashing or execution once they learn of his betrayal, he
focused his energy on making it to the door. The Infiltrators
closed on him. Dawn began to fear that he wouldn't make it into
the tower before they caught him, but he pushed himself faster,
finally reaching the door and slamming it just as one of the
Infiltrators started to reach for him. He heard a grunt,
followed by a thud as he slammed the door, then bolted up the
stairway. He began to hope that he would have an easy escape,
but when the door exploded from its hinges and the three
Infiltrators charged up the stairs in hot pursuit, his hope
quickly turned to determination. Suddenly several blasts from
above scorched the air above his head. Acting on instinct, he
ducked down and turned to see the Infiltrators hit the ground
and show no further signs of life.
"Come on!"
The voice urged him forward and he resumed his brisk climb. When
he finally got to the top, after what seemed like forever, he
was met by a pair of partisan fighters and two Imperial Knights.
Knight - "Tarvis Dawn, come with us. We have a way down."
