       Possible Tonegawa 105 Servo Replacement
By: Devin Date: July 4, 2014, 6:53 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
We happened to stumble upon this servo motor listing which seems
to share a lot of the same specifications as the Tonegawa
(Vantec) SSPS 105 that is used in multiple areas of the J5
robot. With some modification, this could even possibly replace
the Tonegawa SSPS 102 servo. Anyone willing to look deeper into
       this?

On the face of it, the new servo is very close - a little wider,
comparable torque, but one quarter the cost.
I'll do a little more research on it.

       From the manufacturer:
The rated output is out by a factor of 10.
These units are rated 40kg/cm - not 370kg/cm.
