Introduction
By: Robert Snyman Date: February 11, 2013, 12:30 am

Hi all. I think it`s just fitting that I should introduce the
'Show & Tell' category since I requested it.
I apologise for not introducing myself in the introduction
category. I do have a story concerning my involvement with J5,
but it is a long one and you might just get bored to death
reading it and there for I left it out.
Okay! Building my robot I started with the head since 90% of
the personality is in that area. So far the most expensive area
of my robot is infact the head and you will see why. This is
the head still being worked on and it is far from done.
Enjoy
I will send images in 2 or 3 posts concerning the size

Hey Robert,
Great job so far! Quite a lot of changes from the original as
far as I can see! Very cool! :) The radar dish is crazy! LOL It
reminds me of the T-Virus canister from Resident Evil.
Just so you know I have upped the attachment limit to 10 per
post and no size restrictions. I'm hoping this will make it
easy to share more. (I didn't realize I had a limit set so
low.)
Keep up the good work and keep us updated! Thanks for sharing.

This is my concept of the laser weapon. It is not an assembly
but a single part model (for now) Once I get the disign perfect
I will model all the parts and create an assembly.

That will look bad ass! Totally up to date. I'm doing mine as if
it was a 2013 robot rather than 1986. Same look but updated. If
nova continued building them through the years and mine will be
the 2013 or 2018 model lol.

LoL. If you want to do it in that manner then all the coverings
must be rounded off and no corners and embossed blocks. Today
everything is round.

The laser reminds me a little bit of the Ghostbusters proton
pack thing. lol Also, I agree if you are going for a modern
look I would round all of the corners and remove all of the
detail pieces. I would also likely make him white or chrome
colored. :) Think Naboo cruiser and that is what I would
envision his coverings looking like modernized.

That's pretty much exactly what I'm envisioning. Still want him
to be recognized as "Johnny Five" but I want to update him some.
Definitely doing more rounded corners, and Going for an aluminum
color or straight gun metal.

You will have to choose if the look will be miitary like the
original or a robot as a home appliance. For military the
coverings will not have a glossy shine to it but as home
appliance it would.
