So does anyone know much about John Rigg? I did some research
and he is about a 5 hour and 20 min drive from my place. Has
anyone been to his Robohut museum or seen his J5 in person? The
pictures I have seen are awesome! I'm thinking I will have to
see if I can see his version of J5 sometime this summer if he
would let me stop by.

Also what happened to quadrant2005 (Richard Steele)? Why did he
leave the group if he was in the group? Did he ever finish any
J5's or was it only Tom?

We do not wish to publicly disclose the reasons as to why
Richard and Thomas left the input-inc group as it would not be
fair to them. If they wish to tell their own story that's their
choice. They left for their own personal reasons and wanted to
go in a different direction. We are not in contact with either
of them, so we are not sure if Richard is continuing his J5
build, although, the last we heard he was not.
I personally attempted to contact John Rigg. He does not like
to respond to many people and is very selective of who he lets
into his robotic mansion. He built his robot directly from one
of the original stunt-bots. There were actually some interesting
differences between the stunt-bot he used to build his and the
actual Hero-Bot. We have also have documentation on that robot,
but are not allowed to publicly disclose it.

I noticed that while I was watching SC1 that the arms are
different than in SC2. I noticed that the servos are different
here in the arm socket area. Do you guys know why this was
changed? I noticed that the Robot V's are modeled more after
SC1 from what I can tell.

Hello Again,
I am sorry that I did not respond to your last question. I
didn't see that you replied and I have been busy working on J5.
The shoulder servos were changed in the second movie to increase
strength of the robot and had nothing to do with cosmetic
appearance. I have no idea why they used that look for the Robot
V.
