Done for the Day!

Lots of turn-overs, but I'm done. I'm done with my very special
diets... just have the GF left. Everything is set for the day. I
have one more door to program and then I can have lunch! It's
almost 3PM.
I've had 5 people with special diets. So, we've treated them all
to the same breakfast. Now, I'm done. Tomorrow I can go back to
making a regular breakfast... though, we have kids... who might
end up eating cereal tomorrow when they see my veggie egg bake
for breakfast... but that... not my problem!

I had a gf guest last week so I made a batch of gf muffins. I
put out standard muffins, and on a small plate, two gf muffins.
I checked on the buffet and one gf muffin was gone. My gf
guest had not yet come to breakfast so I put out another gf
muffin. Checking later, both gf muffins gone. I asked the
group eating if they are gf. No, just wanted to try them, Oh!
Was that for someone else?!?! Ummmm, yes. I felt like
it was like parking in the handicap spot when you don’t need it.
🤦‍♀️

I spent a week on a sailboat off he coast of Maine last week. 20
passengers and a crew of 5.
I felt sorry for the cook, having to prepare vegan every day for
2 of the passengers, and non-dairy for 2 who claim to be lactose
intolerant.
Every meal we had to endure questions about what was in the
food, even though the cook put a sign out saying, "This dish is
for Amanda only," and such.
What I really hated was when they made the hand-cranked homemade
ice cream. We all had to eat non-dairy "whatever it was." I
didn't eat any.
Yes, I'm old and grouchy. Keep off my lawn!!

Arks - I feel for Cookie. To endure that cooking in that galley.
For those who are unaware - the galley on the French has VERY
limited space and only a tiny bit of that is cooking space.
The meals were delicious. Why would vegans go sailing? SEAFOOD!!
(And seafood = BUTTER!!)

Hahahahha. Fake handmade ice cream! What a let down! I
think maybe real handmade ice cream and a tub of sorbet for the
vegans. 🥑. 🍉.
