I got up early for this?

Only one of five rooms booked last night. A repeat guest who had
been with us for several days. So I told them, “You are our
only guests for breakfast. Do you have any requests?”
Good thing I asked because the response was that they would be
leaving by 7.
“I can make you a to go breakfast bag with a muffin, granola
bar, juice, fruit and a to-go coffee cup.”
The response was, don’t go to any trouble, all we want is an
English muffin for him, a sweet muffin for her, fruit and milk.
Fine. We got up an hour earlier than usual, set out two fruit
cups, two English muffins, butter, two sweet muffins, two
granola bars, a pitcher of milk and a pitcher of juice.
They took one sweet muffin and a granola bar. Didn’t touch the
milk, fruit or English muffin.
We could have packed that in a to-go bag. The only reason we
got up early is he always had a glass of milk and we couldn’t
put milk in a to-go bag. But he didn’t touch the milk!
Oh well, breakfast is cleaned up before seven am, so, we got
that going for us.

Yes. Pollyanna had the Glad Game. Basically, look for a silver
lining. Count your blessings. Stuff like that!
