Pita of the day

Couple arrives to check in at 11:00 am. We aren’t finished
cleaning up breakfast, much less turning over rooms. We haven’t
even thought about checkins. Ok, I’ll print out your check in
info and give you the welcome speech but you have to come back
later.
Great. No problem. We know we’re early. Say….my car is acting
up, can you direct me to a car repair shop? Say….can I use
the bathroom before we go?
Sigh. Fine. Later in the day, as we are sitting down to a well
earned cocktail, the doorbell rings. Same guy. I just took a
shower and the shower won’t turn off. Husband goes up to the
room and turns off the shower. Guy was turning the knob the
wrong way. It’s a single knob. On/off.
Sigh.

Sounds like my brother. Not gifted in the way of knowing what it
takes to figure things out. Gives it one try and if it doesn't
work, he gives up. I'm really surprised he can work a knife and
fork!

Had the same problem guest. We have 5 rooms in the Inn and a
separate guest house about 50 yards away. Lady in guest house
calls: there's no hot water. They have run the shower for 5
minutes, it's cold. I'm thinking, O s#it. more trouble
shooting. I ask is there hot water in the kitchen, well, yes.
Did the shower selector get turned to the left, like the arrows
on the label on the shower wall I put on that says Hot? Hmm, no,
it's turned to the right. Oh well, turn the other way, give it
a try. Ooo, it's getting warm! Me, pours a whisky.
