One more story

Couple is here for six nights. Nice, quiet, pleasant people.
On day four, they ask for an extra towel because the water keeps
rushing out of the shower.
WHAT????!!?
Someone had removed the plastic piece that keeps water from
rushing out under the glass door. The piece was placed under
the sink. That’s a problem. Who would do that?
But, who lets a shower gush all over for three days without
mentioning it? When she said, thank you for fixing the shower,
I replied, Thank YOU for letting us know! I didn’t finials my
thought which was
, three days late!
I wanted to make the point without being accusatory.

I keep a small dry erase board and marker in each room, with a
sticker on it asking people to make note of anything that needs
attention in the room.
That's usually how we find out about dead remote batteries, AC
not cooling well, etc.
It's weird. I ask them to leave the message, I appreciate
getting the info, but I always kind of resent that they are
complaining! Or that I have to fix something else. Oh well, as
soon as the problem is fixed, I'm happy again.
