       But they seem so nice!

Couple changed their date twice. A one night stay. That’s
       one.
Asked for us to buy and put in the room champagne and a card for
anniversary. Not a big deal, but few people do, so that is
       two.
Informed us she was gluten free but he’ll eat anything. Again,
thanks for letting us know, that’s a positive, but…..three.
Left for dinner and left their car in the driveway. The car
alarm goes off! It turned off after two minutes, so fine.
Then it went off again! And again! Six times! We called
them, sent a text and left a paper note on their door. I
apologized to the couple trying to have a peaceful night on the
front porch. I texted an apology to our three closest
       neighbors. Four.
Next day, she apologizes profusely and really sincerely and
says, don’t worry, they moved the car. Moved? Why didn’t you
       turn the alarm off?? Five.
They had breakfast. Fruit and yogurt for her. Fruit and a
muffin for him. Never mind that I altered my regular breakfast
to be entirely gluten free and that we made extra because he is
in his 20’s and will “ eat everything.” Six.
Any of the above would have gone unnoticed. All together, we
       have deemed them, high maintenance!

As far as I can tell, they didn’t steal the bedding…..so, they
got that going for them. 😂😂

AND you can be certain there will be NO tip for your troubles.
You will be lucky to get NO review because they would probably
complain about all the messages about their car.
Hey Arks, I think you lost the baton!

Another small thing. She didn’t say she was gluten free.
She said she was allergic to gluten. Which isn’t really a
thing and folks with celiac disease know that. So add that to
the tip thing and they are up to eight check marks.

" because he is in his 20’s " That explains it all.
Anyone using the word allergy gets a careful questioning. I have
a sign by the coffee saying we have all sorts of allergens in
our kitchen (gluten, peanut, shellfish, etc.). We keep a clean
kitchen, but it cannot be allergen free. If you're going to go
into fatal shock from a real allergy, I may not be able to serve
       you.

I actually have posted everywhere that we cannot and will not
handle a soy allergy. The high maintenance guests from a few
weeks ago, under allergies wrote "we don't like soy".
Well, too damn bad. It's listed as an allergy we can't handle.
So too bad, you are going to have to eat soy... because I just
don't care! I don't like luddites and yet, they still book with
       me

Is soy normally served at breakfast in Canada?

It is used all over for dairy-free and vegan. It is he only time
I use soy anything here in West Virginia.
