Yep. I'd never thought about it before last year, but now I have
a recurring reminder in my phone to check them every 6 months.
Similar reminders remind me to change the AC filters and
replenish the rack cards and brochures quarterly.

I actually buy bandages from the dollar store and leave them in
the bathrooms. And for the first aid kit, we have it closed with
a tamper evident plastic ties. Write on the tie... "Emergency
use only, you will be charged $50 for opening"
This way, they only really open it when there is a REAL
emergency, not for the damn band-aid. If you really want to do
something "fun". Honeywell sells BLUE bandages. So they are
non-discriminatory when it comes to "skin" colour. Or buy
colorful kid bandages. They also offer "camo".

Great idea. Only drawback is, must be checked every stay to be
sure who it was that opened it. Or not. Just let the threat of a
charge linger. Yes, I like that!
