You’ve got to be kidding!

Had a family call last night at 8. Needed a room for three.
We actually had one room unoccupied and it happened to be one
that could accommodate three! He took a look at the room and
declared it, “perfect!” She looked at it and said, no, we’ll
find something else. Hubby said, “ good luck!”
I kind of want to know if they found anything. But then again,
my capacity for worrying about strangers making stupid mistakes
is very low these days. So I just poured another glass of wine
and enjoyed the rest of the evening.

I learnt not to worry about these things. I don't do rooms after
noon. I get calls all the time when I'm full. Do I really want
to be your last choice. Nope. Enjoy your packets of oatmeal
elsewhere.

We usually don’t accept last minute reservations either. That
is part of the frustration. We were (we thought) doing them a
favor by accepting a last minute reservation and they are
shopping around at 8 pm! I wouldn’t be surprised if they
ended up at the generic (no offense, G.) motel 30 minutes up the
highway.

I always tell them that if they are shopping price, I'm not the
place to stay and to enjoy their stay at the generic hotel. I
want to be memorable, not just a place to park your head.
Please find me the hotel that has electrical outlets and USB
ports on all the nightstands and the desk. That has actual
artwork. And if you are shopping generic, enjoy the love Gyproc
walls... it's all generic. You might as well have stayed at an
office

Thank you! Not only do we have charging stations and actual
Art by local, but universally known artists, we also have an
ocean view and hot breakfast!
