Seriously?

Went to clean the room after checkout and found a note.
Started with thank yous and nice room and the, I have a few
suggestions. (Uh-oh).
She suggested we have a trash can in the room. I double
checked thinking maybe we’d messed up. Nope. There it is. A
trash can in the cupboard under the kitchenette sink. Empty.
And in the bathroom, a trash can just sitting there as needed.
She then said she had been expecting breakfast. That our
website “implied” breakfast. I immediately checked the website
for possible pictures of past breakfast years. Nope. No
breakfast pictures and under “policies” one line item said, “ we
do not serve breakfast.” Another line item says, “no meals are
included.”
Sigh. I sent her a note and suggested she may have seen
reviews from past years when we did serve breakfast. And then
(I couldn’t help myself) I wrote that “We lowered our room rates
considerably when we made the change to vacation rentals with no
breakfast service.”
And (I didn’t write this but) by considerably I mean that we
lowered our rates by over $100 a night.
One more month!

People don't read. That's why I had AI go through everything and
asked what was clear and what wasn't and how we could make it
clearer.
The prompt should be something like: You are an expert in
getting people to clearly understand and comprehend, in spite of
their not fully reading information:

Always something new it seems. People don't read or read into
things their personal expectations.

I get that a lot. Suggestions for things that are already in the
room. An extra blanket, a fan, a fly swatter. On and on, and all
already in the room, if they had just looked around.
In the note you sent, I would have asked if she could identify
where it was implied that breakfast was included, and I would
have attached photos of the 2 trash cans.
Of course, with that last one, she wouldn't read and would
assume they are photos of the new trash cans you just added at
her suggestion!

I got asked for extra pillows. There was one in the closet. I
took that one out, split the pillow on the bed into two (I
double pillow because I find them too soft), added a memory foam
pillow and two soft King pillows. So I left 4 extra on the bed.

What's the deal with extra pillows? Is it people who have to
sleep propped up?
I have 4 thick pillows on each bed, and can't imagine sleeping
on anything that high. I'm surprised when people contact me,
wanting even more pillows!

I have 2 pillows on each bed. I have extra pillows in the
dresser of the Gillum Room (the most rented). I personally
dislike a bed loaded with pillows. WHERE am I supposed to put
them so I can sleep in that bed? I do not want to throw them on
the floor. I want to sit in the chair, not fill it with pillows.
