Much the same with us, I'm comfortable, don't want to move and
that would take a whole different area to find a lower cost of
living. I enjoy our guests, and it requires me to stay somewhat
active. The beauty of self-check in is that you can choose how
involved you desire to be. I want to see our business survive so
that it looks after our daughter after our time is done.

I hope they find someone who wants to do B & B after me. My
daughter will be doing upgrades to the kitchen and the owner's
bathroom - much needed - that will increase the price but I am
asking her to try to sell it as a B & B for the price as a
residence - WITH all the stuff non of them want anyway - -
furniture, dishes, linens, etc. with it IF they agree in writing
to run it as a B & B for 3 years. The way I would have sold it
(I hoped) if I cleaned out my crap from the owner's quarters.
NONE of my kids would be happy in Shinnston sad to say, none of
them are WV. They are Illinois.

We switched to self check-in as well. Cameras are our backup.
