Is everyone hunkered down & warm?

I hope everyone is stocked up and has a plan for waterlines and
heat. My West Virginia is about to remind me of Illinois
winters. Thankfully it is NOT expected to be -26 (yes, I lived
through a week of that several times - and went to work every
day!). Snow is starting again tomorrow morning (Sunday) and my
poor garbagemen will be working at -1 Monday morning - the best
morning of the week until Thursday. Tuesday is expected to be
-3, and Wednesday -8. We are supposed to have a heat wave
Thursday morning with the low at +5. GOD help us if the power
goes off!
Crossing fingers that the ONLY bills I will have are sky-high
electric, gas and water but no plumbing bills. I will have the
cleanest clothes in town as I run my washing machine often with
extra rinse cycle to pull water through the lines.

Best answer is I hope we are ready. For the most part we depend
on electricity for heat, fortunately right off the main line so
usually don't lose power for too long. Most pipes are insulated.
Still some snow sitting around from last week. Getting too old
and cold to play in the snow.

Same here. Made a trip to the grocery yesterday for essentials -
coffee creamer, cheese.... I can bake bread if needed and have
most everything else. My heater in my office keeps me warm. I
most likely will not venture out before possible Tuesday or
Thursday (when it is supposed to warm up a bit) - My part of WV
does not usually see these temps! It feels like I am back in
Illinois!

Got plenty of food, wine and tp. Can’t think of a reason to
leave the house. Bring it on!
