Minor annoyance two weeks before retirement

Juuuuust sitting down to cocktails. Everyone is checked in.
Ding dong!
“Can you tell me the WiFi password?”
Of course I can and I did.
BUT - it is on the big sign right next to the doorbell you just
rang. AND it is on the welcome page I gave you with your key
when you checked in and didn’t want to listen to me review the
welcome sheet with you. AND it is on the cover page of the book
in your room that has all the information you need JUST LIKE
EVERY OTHER HOTEL IN THE WORLD. but yeah, here’s the password.

Same group left the front door open every time they used it.
These are well dressed, well spoken people. I guarantee they
would be appalled at anyone leaving the front door open at their
homes.

Wow! Congratulations on your retirement! Seems like just
yesterday that you joined and we became a group of two coastal,
NE members. You’ve had nice long inn keeping career but it’s
wise to quit while you still have plenty of get up and go! Will
you be staying put or moving on?

Silver, thanks for the good wishes! we are staying. We used
the inn to afford a house on the water. It worked. This is
our home.
Arks, thanks for the laugh. I see those answers all the time
and want to respond, but I force myself to stay out of it.

Beachie we did the same but continue to “host” only our best
returning guests in the guest house cottage we built on the
property. It pays for taxes and insurance, which never go down!

Same. We have two efficiency apartments with outside entrances
that we will rent. Taxes and insurance.
