I've had a conversation with a previous publisher where I shared
my concerns about this very issue.
While I didn't expect to become a best selling author overnight,
I could not understand how the numbers I was counting that I
knew had sold, the numbers from the publisher, and the amount of
people telling me they read my book, didn't add up.
Unfortunately at the time, my publisher didn't take the issue
seriously and I had no choice but to accept it (or so I
thought).
Let's hope more Authors step forward and shed light on this
subject. Maybe then the FBI will have the information they need
to do the investigation they say they want.
