A few Book chore ideas for thralls/male slaves :
       Net fishing
Earlier he had been working with other thralls at the shore,
with parsit nets. Marauders of Gor, pg 103
       Agriculture
On the way back to the hall, cutting through the tospit trees,
we had passed by the sul patch. In it, his back to us, hoeing,
was the young broad-shouldered thrall, in his white tunic, with
cropped hair. Marauders of Gor, pg 103
He belonged to the class of men who could hire their reading
done for them, much as he could buy thralls to do his farming.
       Marauders of Gor, pg 231
       Cooking
       Male thralls turned the spits over the long fire;
       Marauders of Gor, pg 195
       Animal Husbandry
It would not have seemed proper, at least in the eyes of Svein
Blue Tooth and others, for a high officer to sit at the same
table with a fellow whose main occupation was supervising
thralls in the tending of verr. Marauders of Gor, pg 187
       Forge duties
Air, by means of a small bellows, pumped by a thrall boy, in
white wool, collared, hair cropped, was forced through a tube in
the bottom of each. The air above the canisters shook with heat.
       Marauders of Gor, pg 86
       Wood
When the Forkbeard himself rose, of course, the camp became
       quite active, and the slaves were put about many menial labors;
the thrall, Tarsk, was unchained from Thyri, and set about the
sawing of wood; Marauders of Gor, pg 193
       Other chore ideas
(*note on gardens* some homes do not have them)
       --hoe/weed garden
       --harvest vegetables in the garden
--feed and clean the verr field/pen
--feed and clean the bosk fields/pen
--feed and clean the vulo cages/pen
--feed and clean the sleen pens
--Mucking the stables/pens -- use a pitchfork (get permission)
and clean out the old straw in the stables (put it in a pile out
behind the stables for those gardening to use), then spread new
       straw around.
--chop fire wood (not all homes will have this. A Wagon camp
       will not have it)
--gather bosk chips in sacks to be used as fuel for fires
--replenish the fuel boxes with dung/wood
--clean the fire pit out (take ashes to field)
--net fish for parsit fish on shore
--clean barnacles of ships (if in a Port City)
--do errands on dock (if in a Port City)
--keep kegs of ale and mead in Great Hall/supply or servery
       wagon full at all times
--help take care of beehives and harvest honey when time
       --help in Weapons shop
       --help the cook
       --make rope
       --make or repair fishing nets
--Make spoons/other implements from tabuk/bosk bones, horns, etc
       - you will need permission to use a quiva to carve spoons,
forks, cooking utensils, etc. from the horns (*note on gaining
permission to use quiva or other tools* in some homes, it is
not needed, but it is still a good idea to check just to be
       sure)
--think of things a thrall can do and be creative on own, be
sure when posting chores on the board, that you include the room
time and date stamp. if you have questions on how this should
be done, then be sure to ask.
