       Video about the Spanish Civil War

       Hi friends. Some months ago a colleague from E69 commissioned me
       to make a small video for people who needed to promote a book
       about the Spanish Civil War. They gave me a very narrow script
       with very specific scenes, so I had to create several
       missions-scenarios to represent the story. At first I considered
       summoning human pilots, but I did not get enough pilots with
       their updated BAT, and they were all very busy with other
       things. Finally with the valuable cooperation of a colleague
       from my squad, E69_Osiris, and numerous AIs all configured as
       "blue" so that they would not chase each other and fulfill their
       role as obedient actors, and using the BAT TGA, we were able to
       carry the project forward, In total, it took me almost two
       months of work, between creating missions, creating specific
       skins, many flight tests with Osiris until I got some decent and
       acceptable shots, and then the video editing work.
       Finally the producers turned to another option: someone else
       will do the work with IL2 Great Battles, although they do not
       have Bertas (Bf-109B) there, but that does not seem to matter to
       them. Anyway I have enjoyed the challenge, the old IL-2 1946 is
       still for me the most versatile and complete flight simulator
       that exists.
       The first two videos are trailers, the last one is the final
       product.

       Excellent work, Haukka!
       Cudos to your squad mates, and to you! If only someone could
       undertake the work of rewriting 20 years worth of code into a
       64bit engine! Then added those UHD graphics. Imagine if we had
       all of this, plus the "Pretty! Ooh! Ah!" everyone seems to want.
       Would be a lifetime's worth of work, and by the time it was
       finished we'd still need something newer.
